NyooTV announces a documentary series on the story and music videos of popular band Euphoria

Mumbai, August 25, 2010: NyooTV; India’s first Online Social TV announces a documentary series on the journey of India’s most loved band Euphoria through their landmark music videos. The series will be called “Hind Rock n Roll” and will be produced by Mr. Gaurav Mendiratta, Founder and President of NyooTV. This is a unique initiative by NyooTV in association with Euphoria to create exclusive content and provide their followers with never before stories and experiences related to the videos of 14 classic Euphoria songs.

Fronted by doctor rocker Palash Sen, Euphoria has always had a special place in the hearts of Indian music lovers with hits like “Dhoom” “Maaeri” “Gully” and “Mehfuz”. They are known as the biggest and the most prolific band in the subcontinent, with 4 chartbuster albums, a “best of” compilation record, hit singles and live concerts across the globe. Euphoria is known for their earthy and fresh music videos, which were instrumental in launching the careers of famous Bollywood actresses like Neha Dhupia, Rimi Sen and Vidya Balan.

The documentary will be webcast on www.nyootv.com in a series of 14 bi- weekly episodes, approximately 10-15 minutes in duration. The first episode will be webcast on the 17th of September 2010. This date coincides with the release date of the first ever Euphoria promo, “Dhoom Pichuck Dhoom” which took the world by storm on the 17th of September 1998. Shot in Varanasi, this video introduced Euphoria and marked the coming of age of popular film maker Pradeep Sarkar, who has directed films like “Parineeta” and the latest blockbuster, “Lafangey Parindey”. The other directors included Dibakar Bannerjee of “Love Sex aur Dhokha” and “Khosla ka Ghosla Fame”, Amitabh Bhattacharya, Dhiraaj Bannerjee and award winning documentary film maker Vikram Mishra.

The episodes will be available for free viewing on www.nyootv.com and will be bundled with contests and exciting prizes like autographed CD’s, tickets to Euphoria concerts and a chance to meet Dr. Palash Sen and the band.

Watch Rajnikanth New Movie - Endhiran Trailer on NyooTV

Endhiran is a forthcoming Tamil science fiction film with Southern Superstar Rajnikanth and Bollywood beauty Aishwarya Rai in the lead roles and directed by S. Shankar. Music maestro A. R. Rahman has given the background score for this film. The film is being produced by Kalinidhi Maran and is all set to be a record breaker of sorts. The film will have the record of having the highest budget ever in Indian cinema and will also be the largest worldwide release for an Indian film. The film was under filming for over two years and is in the post-production stage now. It has a generous dose of special effects which fans will love. Endhiran will be released with its dubbed versions, ‘Robot’ in Hindi and ‘Robo’ in Telugu. The film’s music was released in July, 2010 in a dazzling function in Malaysia.

Endhiran is Superstar Rajanikanth’s film that comes after a long gap. He has a double role where he plays the roles of a scientist and a robot. Aishwarya Rai Bachchan plays his love interest, while Bollywood actor Danny Denzongpa plays the villain in the film.

Rajanikanth plays a scientist who creates a Robot with artificial intelligence similar to that of a sixth sense in humans to help human beings and for the development of the country. But its silicon heart falls in love with Aishwarya Rai, writes romantic poems and the Robot behaves just like a human being. Knowing about the extra ordinary intelligence of the Robot, the villains try to get control of the Robot. Scientist Rajni fights to save the Robot falling into the hand of the enemies and destroys the evil forces using the Robot itself.

The film was earlier slated for a release on the 10^th of September, but Sun Pictures, the producers of this film have advanced the date to 3^rd September. One of the highlights of this film is that Rajinikanth would be seen without his famed moustache in most parts thereby making him look much younger. The last time director Shankar and actor Rajinikanth came together they created magic with Sivaji - The Boss. Hope that Endhiran - The Robot manages to live up to its hype and breaks all Box Office records when it releases later this year.
