Vivek Oberoi and Priyanka Alva’s reception was held in Mumbai on 31^st October at the ITC Grand Maratha. The bride wore a blue lehenga with a green velvet choli, while the groom wore a dark velvet sherwani. Around 3,000 aroma candles specially made with Lang yank, 30,000 mogra laries for the whole venue, 1,500 bell jars with aroma candles, 500 Thai lotus specially imported made sure that Vivek and Priyanka were basking in marital bliss. Around 900 dishes in the menu delighted the taste buds of those invited. The exclusive invite list included the likes of heavyweights politicians like LK Advani, Sushma Swaraj, Praful Patel, Kripashankar Singh, Sanjay Nirupam, Narayan Rane and Chaggan Bhujbal.

Cricketers Virender Sehwag and former wicketkeeper Kiran More and of course, stars from his fraternity like Akshay Kumar, Farah Khan who came in with Sajid Khan and close friend Riteish Deshmukh were there to shower their blessings on the couple. Genelia D'Souza was the certain head turner of the night who flaunted a white sari and a golden string blouse, Aarti Chabria – another lady in a string blouse and white sari looked stunning, Prachi Desai, Tabu, Dia Mirza, Zoya Akhtar and Fardeen Khan were there to congratulate the couple.

Adi and Parmeshwar Godrej came in a bit late, but created enough hum at the venue. Jackie Shroff with his eccentric sense of style, Sonu Sood, Gulshan Grover, Goldie Behl, David Dhawan, Kabir Bedi, Prasoon Joshi, Vishal Bhardwaj, Sudhir Mishra, Ken Ghosh, Prakash Jha, Shatrughan Sinha, Sanjay Kapoor, Apoorva Lakhia too were seen at the auspicious function.

The blessing of the night came from Raza Murada – ‘Prince ko Saathiya ki Company mil gayi, Ab Chandoo sudhar gaya hai, ab No Shootout At Lokhandwala’. Amidst this, Vivek’s co-star from Shootout At Lokhandwala – Aarti Chabria said, “Vivek has ultimately tied the knot and although he has broken many a hearts, this was the best for both him and Priyanka! The Best of World Cinema at the 12th Mumbai Film Festival

In a star studded ceremony the 12th Mumbai Film Festival was opened by Manoj Kumar, Ramesh Sippy and Chairman of MAMI Shyam Benegal! Current Bollywood actors such as Minisha Lamba, Ranvir Shorey, Satish Kaushik and Prem Chopra also graced the occasion. Also present at the event was the talented film-maker Sudhir Mishra.

The 12th Mumbai Film Festival boasts of an all-women jury, headed by Oscar winning Hollywood filmmaker Jane Campion and well-known names like Indian actress-director Suhasini Ratnam. Accompanying Campion will be four internationally-celebrated panellists - British filmmaker Tanya Seghatchian, head of the Film Fund at the UK Film Council, Iranian filmmaker Samira Makhmalbaf, and South Korean actress Yoon Jeong-Hee.

When asked about his views on the film festival, Sudhir Mishra said, “You know it’s a conference of professionals. You meet other professionals, you interact, you learn! These are the things that help cinema in a very different and intangible manner. It’s an environment for young people, for assistants, for people like us to learn a lot from each other.” The shimmering lady in white, Minisha Lamba who wore a flowing low-cut white gown to the event said that she was very excited with the film festival and looked forward to watching ‘The Social Network’.

Bollywood comedian Satish Kaushik said, “It’s a culmination of different cultures, directors from different countries coming together, their stories, and their characters. This film festival provides a great platform for all of us to meet, share and learn from each other.” The son of the motherland, Manoj Kumar was acknowledged for his outstanding contribution to Indian cinema by awarding him the Lifetime Achievement Award at the film festival along with Hollywood legend Oliver Stone. Manoj Kumar was highly obliged and said, “This is a very proud moment for me and I feel proud of the Mumbai Film Festival. This is a very strong and positive step ahead, because the world has recognised Indian cinema and its a proud moment for every Indian.”

Dharmendra And Sons Set To Rock The Audience In Yamla Pagla Deewana

YPD, as it is popularly known also stars Nafisa Ali, Johnny Lever, Puneet Issar, Mukul Dev and Himanshu Malik. The movie will be releasing in theatres all across India on the auspicious occasion of Makar Sankranti on 14th January 2011.

The comedy revolves around three main characters played by veteran actor Dharmendra and his two sons Sunny Deol and Bobby Deol. Dharmendra ‘Paa-ji’ will be recreating the powerful role he played in his landmark film Sholay. Bobby Deol will be seen romancing many cute girls at the same time. The audience will get to witness the ‘Sholay’ days of Dharmendra with his funny acts. The movie has been shot in Banaras (India) and Canada.

Yamla Pagla Deewana will also have the popular dialogue of Sholay in which Veeru tells Gabbar Singh, ‘Kuttey Mein Tera Khoon Pee Jaunga’. The ‘Turbanator’ – Harbhajan Singh Now Torments The Kiwis as he Hits a 2nd Consecutive Test Century

Continuing his good form with the bat, Harbhajan Singh hit his second century on the fourth day of the second Test against New Zealand at Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium in Hyderabad on Monday. Harbhajan reached the landmark off 105 balls and his knock was studded with 7 fours 6 sixes. This is Harbhajan's second successive century and the knock made him the only batsman in Test history to hit two consecutive hundreds at the number eight position. The knock took him to the top of the run-getters chart in the on-going 3 Match Test Series.

Harbhajan made his Test and One Day International (ODI) debuts in early 1998. His career was initially beset by investigations into the legality of his bowling action and disciplinary incidents that raised the ire of cricket authorities. However in 2001, with leading leg spinner Anil Kumble injured, Harbhajan's career was resuscitated after Indian captain Sourav Ganguly called for his inclusion in the Border-Gavaskar Trophy team. In that series victory over Australia, Harbhajan established himself as team's leading spinner by taking 32 wickets, becoming the first Indian bowler to take a hat trick in Test cricket.

Now a veteran of the game, Harbhajan had a rough beginning to his India career scarred with scuffles with players from other teams every now and then. He was then known as the angry young man of the Indian Cricket Team and still picks up a fight when provoked. You might remember the infamous incident when playing in his first IPL, the Mumbai Indians spinner slapped his fellow country-mate, but opponent then Sreesanth.
