Commenting about the song, Shankar said, "De Ghumaa Ke" literally means ‘Hit It Hard’. We were looking at various ideas to determine what direction we can take because we wanted to make a fun song, a dhamaal song on which people can dance, they can sing and we wanted to use more of a colloquial term, which was an idea that came in late. Initially, we were looking at a regular dance song and by chance we coined this phrase De Ghuma Ke. Everyone got excited and said why not make a song around the phrase.” The lyrics of the song uses some commonly used Hindi phrases like aare paare (this way or that) and juta hausla badla faisla (buck up and change the game). De Ghuma Ke has a combination of Indian beats and rhythms and does not conform to any one style in particular with elements of rock and hip hop thrown in. The song, according to the composers, avoids the usual patriotic and run-of-the-mill Bollywood beats for a “fun and funky tune” with a “folksy feel and a hint of rustic Punjabi”. De Ghuma Ke has three different versions in three different languages; Hindi, Bangla and Sinhalese keeping in mind the three hosting nations India, Bangladesh and Sri Lanka. The Bengali version has been sung by Raghab Chatterjee while Ranidu Lankage has rendered the Sinhalese version.

The ‘Turbanator’ – Harbhajan Singh Now Torments The Kiwis as he Hits a 2nd Consecutive Test Century

Continuing his good form with the bat, Harbhajan Singh hit his second century on the fourth day of the second Test against New Zealand at Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium in Hyderabad on Monday. Harbhajan reached the landmark off 105 balls and his knock was studded with 7 fours 6 sixes. This is Harbhajan's second successive century and the knock made him the only batsman in Test history to hit two consecutive hundreds at the number eight position. The knock took him to the top of the run-getters chart in the on-going 3 Match Test Series.

Harbhajan made his Test and One Day International (ODI) debuts in early 1998. His career was initially beset by investigations into the legality of his bowling action and disciplinary incidents that raised the ire of cricket authorities. However in 2001, with leading leg spinner Anil Kumble injured, Harbhajan's career was resuscitated after Indian captain Sourav Ganguly called for his inclusion in the Border-Gavaskar Trophy team. In that series victory over Australia, Harbhajan established himself as team's leading spinner by taking 32 wickets, becoming the first Indian bowler to take a hat trick in Test cricket.

Now a veteran of the game, Harbhajan had a rough beginning to his India career scarred with scuffles with players from other teams every now and then. He was then known as the angry young man of the Indian Cricket Team and still picks up a fight when provoked. Ashutosh Gowariker periodic thriller: Khelein Hum Jee Jaan Sey Trailer

Get ready for another classic from the stable of Ashutosh Gowariker. After producing masterpieces Lagaan and Jodha Akbar, the producer-director from Maharashtra is revoking history books once again with ‘Khelein Hum Jee Jaan Sey’. The movie has a colorful star-cast with a mix of Anglo-Indian actors. Abhishek Bachchan will be paired opposite Deepika Padukone and the party of English actors includes Monty Munford, Francis Mathew, Paul Gatward, John Tassi, John Pollard and Robert Drury. The film is directed by Ashutosh Gowariker and produced jointly by Ajay Bijli, Sanjeev K. Bijli and Sunita A. Gowariker. December 3, 2010 is the scheduled release date for the movie.

Sohail Sen, who has previously worked on Ashutosh’s ‘What’s Your Raashee?’ has scored the music for the movie, while the legendary Javed Akhtar has written the lyrics for the movie. The movie is an adaptation of the novel ‘DO and DIE: The Chittagong Uprising 1930-34’ by Manini Chatterjee.

‘KHJJS’, as it is popularly known, has been shot majorly in Goa along with some scenes in Mumbai. Ashutosh describes the film as an ‘inspirational timeless movie’ that should be watched by the youth of India. “This film is very much in line with our philosophy to touch, move and inspire audiences through the language of films,” he said. Also when Ashutosh read the novel, he had made up his mind that only Abhishek can portray the role of ‘Surjya Sen’ and it didn’t take much convincing to land Abhishek as his main lead. Deepika meanwhile will play the role of ‘Kalpana Dutta’.
