Sonakshi Sinha to play Mother in Dabangg 2

Don’t get shocked or thinks anything else. The fresh beauty of Bollywood would play a role of mother in Dabangg sequel.

There is still four months to go before Sonakshi Sinha starts shooting for Dabangg2 in March 2012.A year ago buzz was that the film could either move forward with Rajjo and Chulbul Pandey becoming parents or go into flashback mode.Sonakshi who is preparing to play Rajjo again, opposite salman Khan admits the story moves forward in the sequel to her hit debut.

According to Sonakshi “I don’t think I can divulge too much about a film that’s yet to go on floors.Arbaaz (director, producer, script writer) may not like it. We have to try and
keep as much as we can under wraps till the film's release, next Christmas.Since I was shown pregnant in the last few frames of the film, I am quite sure I will be playing mummy to Chulbul Jr.

Sonakshi is completing work on Shirish Kunder’s Joker and will then begin for the period romance “Lootera” with Ranveer Singh in December. Then I am back to my saris in Dabangg 2 she Say’s.

MTV Grind – Most Happening and Hottest Beach Party Ever

MTV Grind India, is an Indian adaptation of the popular dance music based cult show, MTV Grind that had sexy men and women dancing away on breath taking foreign beaches and private pools. This time around the popular show has made its way back on the channel as it replaced MTV’s adventure based reality show, MTV Roadies – Season 8. Mere Brother Ki Dulhan – another romcom to look out for!

Mere Brother Ki Dulhan by Yash Raj Films is yet another interesting romantic comedy that is on its way to the theatres in September. The film has Bollywood actors Imran Khan and Katrina Kaif along with Pakistani musician Ali Zafar in the lead roles. Read on to know more.

Mere Brother Ki Dulhan by Yash Raj Films is yet another interesting romantic comedy that is on its way to the theatres in September. The musical romantic film is set in an upper middle class family in Northern India and is a love triangle. Imran Khan plays a character who falls in love with his brothers fiancée, played by Katrina Kaif, while Ali Zafar plays Imran’s brother in the film. The film has been extensively shot in Agra, a historic city in Uttar Pradesh that boasts of one of the Seven Wonders of the World, the Taj Mahal and in the picturesque locales of the Doon valley. The film will hit the screens on 9^th September.

The music of the film that has been composed by Sohail Sen is one of the high points of the film. Katrina Kaif who plays a Delhi University student in the film has donned a rockstar look for one of the songs in the film, ‘Dhunki’ which is already a rage. The actress with her loose hair, kohl lined eyes, funky accessories and tattoos on her back and an electric guitar looks very much like a real life rockstar!

The film will mark the debut of Ali Abbas Zafar as a director and writer. This film is Ali Zafar’s second outing in Bollywood with Tere Bin Laden being his first in which he made his acting debut. First glimpse of ‘Bodyguard’

The first look of one of the most awaited films of this year, ‘Bodyguard’ was released recently. The film has Salman Khan and Kareena Kapoor in the lead roles. One of the high points of the film is an item number by Katrina Kaif, who will also be seen in a cameo.

After WANTED, DABANGG and READY, Salman Khan is all set to please his fans with yet another film, ‘BODYGUARD’. The handsome actor will be seen in a highly stylized avatar in the film which is a remake of the Malayalam film of the same name. The romantic action film has Kareena Kapoor as the female lead opposite Salman. Katrina Kaif has a cameo in the film as well as an item number. The film is produced by Salman’s brother-in-law, Atul Agnihotri and is directed by Siddique. The film will be in theatres on 31st August.

The first look of the film was released amidst much fanfare in the presence of the lead pair of the film. Being his benevolent self, Salman asked Shera, his personal bodyguard of fifteen years to do the honours of unveiling the first look of the film at a Juhu multiplex. An overwhelmed Shera said, “This is a very big honour that bhai (Salman) has given me by giving me an opportunity to release his film's promo. I have been with bhai for 15 years now. I used to tell bhai that I can take a bullet for him. But the reality is that he protects his close ones so much that even he can take a bullet for them. He is the real life bodyguard," Shera told reporters. Salman will be seen wearing the same uniform that the employees of his personal bodyguard agency wear. Salman, who is very close to his personal bodyguard Shera, has used his name on the uniform too. The superstar turned down an offer of Rs. 7 crore to wear a certain security company's uniform.

At the event the superstar said: "I can trust him (Shera) with everything - with money, girls, family and even my life. He is very trustworthy. Apart from guarding me, his duty has also been to go with every girl who has been in my life. I knew he will take good care of them wherever they go." While Kareena said, "Shera has known me since I was 10 years old. And today, he is launching the promo of my film. He has known me before I was an actress, so it is a very special moment. It's all thanks to Salman," said the actress.

Don 2 – The Chase Continues, First look of Farhan Akhtar’s Don 2 is finally out

The much awaited and much anticipated first look of Farhan Akhtar’s Don 2 is finally out. The theatrical release of the film will give you a glimpse of all the characters in the movie. The eagerly awaited first look of Farhan Akhtar’s Don 2 is out! Don 2 is a sequel to Farhan Akhtar’s Don, which was a huge hit and which also inspired Akhtar to make a sequel. The title of don 2 says, ‘‘Get Ready for the return of the king’! Apart from Shah Rukh Khan, the sequel features Priyanka Chopra, Boman Irani and Om Puri. There are two new tracks in the film which will be essayed by actors Lara Dutta and Kunal Kapoor. Hrithik Roshan will also be seen in a cameo in the film. Shah Rukh Khan has undergone a complete makeover for his character in Don 2. He will be sporting a bearded look with a new hair style and also show off a six pack ab!

Don 2 has been shot in Berlin, Germany and Malaysia. The film is slated for a December 2011 release.

There are also stories of Akhtar planning a Don 3 – The Chase Ends, which will be last of the Don series by the film maker. Don was a remake of the Amitabh Bachchan starrer, Don. Though a remake and with similar characters and nuances borrowed from the original film, Akhtar’s Don had a different climax and story line. Watch Ajay Devgn starrer-Singham Trailer

Rohit Shetty’s Ajay Devgn starrer, Singham is ready for a monsoon release next month. The film is an action packed remake of Tamil movie, Singam. The film will hit the theatres on 22^nd July.

After trying his hand at comedy, drama, thrillers, Bollywood actor, Ajay Devgn is back to doing what is beat at – action. The actor will be seen in an action packed role in Rohit Shetty’s Singham. Singham is the remake of Tamil movie Singam which had Suriya in the lead and was directed by Hari. The film will release on 22^nd July. Singham is directed by Rohit Shetty. Rohit Shetty and Ajay Devgn come together after a series of hit films like the Golmaal series and All The Best. This director-actor duo is making a comeback of sorts to the action genre with this film.

Ajay Devgn will be seen in the role of a cop named Bajirao Singham. Devgn will be seen in the role of a cop after a gap of eight years. He was last seen taking on the baddies in khaki in Prakash Jha’s Gangaajal. Says Devgn, “It’s a film about men. Singham will mark the return of hardcore raw action to the cinemas with a lot of dialogue-baazi and machismo. It should sock a punch. It will connect to the man on the street because of its simple narrative and terrific action.” Says Shetty,“My hero Bajirao Singham (Ajay) is a simple police officer who is happy to toe the line till he is provoked by baddie Prakash Raj to show his ferocious side. And when Ajay does that, hell breaks loose.’’ Further speaking about how the action in his film is different, the director says, “I have not used a single foreign fighter or imported any foreign equipment for my film. I personally feel indigenous action has a better impact than all the foreign stunts that people are obsessing about these days. As Indians, we identify with our style of raw action, which we have sidelined because some of us have suddenly developed an affinity to the West. To each his own, but for me what works is our own desi action.’’

All the action in the film has been conceptualized and designed by Shetty himself! For one of the very first action sequences, the director has blown up twenty cars. Says Shetty, "The scene is set in a parking lot, where a kidnapping takes place. It is a chase scene between Ajay and some gangsters for which we will require to blow up cars. In the shot, there will be about 200 cars out of which we will be blowing up 20 cars."

Rangbaaj music launched

The music for Haider Kazmi’s upcoming Bhojpuri film, Rangbaaj, took place at a hotel in Patna in the presence of the cast and crew of the film. The honours were done by Food and Consumer Protection minister, Shyam Rajak. The film has nine songs which include a rocking item number. Rangbaaj addresses the burning issue of naxalism which has raised its ugly head and is a menace in some of the eastern states of India. The event was attended by some members of the cast that included Haider Kazmi who has also produced the film, Anil Yadav and Seema Singh. At the launch, Rajak said, “Bhojpuri films is not only about entertainment. It also deals with serious issues like Naxalism and I am happy that someone has come forward to direct a film on this burning issue. The state government is trying its best to take the Bhojpuri film industry to the pinnacle.”

Haider Kazmi, the producer of the film who also features in the film said that though the film is based on a serious issue, it was important to include songs in the film keeping in mind the Bhojpuri audiences. “I want the people to enjoy the film with a light dose of entertainment even as they watch a social issue-based film. People want to see such films but it is important how you present it to them. I know serious films have hardly any songs but one must not forget that we are dealing with the Bhojpuri audience here. So it was important to add this flavour,” Kazmi said.

He also added: “The motive behind having nine songs in the film is that people should not be bored. The issue of Naxalism is very vast. It is not possible for everyone to understand its meaning. How many people are aware about the genesis of Naxalism and the reason behind it? I am sure very few people are aware about Charu Mazumdar, the man who started the movement at Naxalbari in Bengal. My aim is to convey the message to the people in an easy format.”

Anil, who has been cast in a negative role in the film, said: “The essence of Bhojpuri films can never go from Bollywood. This is the reason many of their films have Bhojpuri dialogues. We want the state government’s support as most Bhojpuri films are shot outside Bihar. These states generate good revenue out of it.”
Actress Seema Singh said: “Item numbers are essential in Bhojpuri films. But the audience should take these as entertainment and not in any other sense. After all, we are artistes and we are doing it because there is a demand.”

Murder 2 to scorch screens soon!

Check out Bhaag D K Bose Song from Upcoming Bollywood Movie Delhi Belly

Bhaag D K Bose Aandhi Aayi is a song from the upcoming film, Delhi Belly which is produced by Aamir Khan. The track, which is the theme song for the film, has become quite an internet sensation much prior to the film’s release in July. The lyrics of the song twist a fairly common Bengali name into an expletive. The song which is a rage, has more to it than its hip retro-rock beat. In times where the censor board is good at snipping off unpleasant content from lyrics, dialogues and titles, film makers are finding new and innovative ways to slip in expletives that will keep the narrative 'real' but at the same time escape the censor net.

The lyrics 'D K Bose, DK Bose, DK Bose,' are put together and when sung to fast instruments, is a popular abuse in the northern India. The lyrics have been written by Amitabh Bhattacharya and sung by Ram Sampath. A source reveals that Aamir was totally shocked on hearing the song during the recording. "His first reaction was of disbelief, but then he realised the words were referring to a character called D K Bose. It was smartly conceptualised."

Delhi Belly, directed by Abhinay Deo, stars beside Imran Khan, Kunal Roy Kapoor, Poorna Jagannathan, Vir Das and Shenaz Treasurywala. The script is written by Akshat Verma and the film is produced by Aamir Khan under the banner of Aamir Khan Productions. Aamir Khan had earlier said in a blog post that the film has the potential to ruin the reputation he has build over the years with clean, family entertainers.

Music review for upcoming Bollywood film Kuchh Luv Jaisa

Kuchh Luv Jaisa is Vipul Amrutlal Shah’s next production which has his wife Shefali Shah and Rahul Bose in the lead roles. The music for the film has been created by Bollywood composer, Prtiam Chakravarty while Tapas Relia has created the background music. The film has five tracks. ‘Naina’ sung by Mohit Chauhan is the first song to be released. Mohit Cauhan’s rendition gets to you, despite the simplicity of the tune. Thoda sa Pyaar that has been rendered to perfection by Sunidhi Chauhan and Anupam Amod, is yet another slow and beautiful number which has two more versions sung by newcomer Mannan Shah and Naresh Iyer. Mannan Shah has also lent his voice for another number, Baadlon pe Paaon. The last song of the film, Khwab Tha with two versions is another slow and touchy number sung by Nikhil D’Souza.

Kuchh Luv Jaisa is the story of a housewife, Madhu who has a loving husband and kids. However, Madhu’s husband forgets her birthday, which comes once in four years on 29th February. Shefali then decides to let down her hair, splurge, indulge and have a blast and celebrate her birthday all by herself instead of sulk and pity herself! As she sets out to try out new things, she has a chance encounter with a detective Rahul Bose, who actually turns out to be a wanted criminal by the cops! She takes a fancy for his work and requests him to let her join him for a day in his investigations. What follows is very interesting as two strangers are thrown together while tracing a case.

The film’s cast includes Sumeet Raghavan and Neetu Chandra in supporting roles along with the film’s lead pair, Shefali Shah and Rahul Bose. The film is written and directed by Barnali Shukla and produced by Vipul Amrutlal Shah. Kuch Luv Jaisa will be in theatres on 27th May, 2011. Shefali Shah who had to shed kilos for this role will be co-starring with Rahul Bose for the second time. The first time was for the film, 15 Park Avenue by Aparna Sen, in which they played a married couple.
