Double Dhamaal: A preview

Double Dhamaal is yet another bollywood comedy that will be in theatres on 24yh June to entertain audiences. The film is a sequel to the 2007 film, Dhamaal that had Riteish Deshmukh, Arshad Warsi, Aashish Chaudhury, Jaaved Jafferi and Sanjay Dutt in the lead roles. The stellar cast has been retained in the sequel which will have Satish Kaushik, Mallika Sherawat and Kangna Ranaut in additional roles. Mallika Sherawat will be seen in an item number titled Jalebi Bhai. Well known choreographer, Ganesh Hegde has choreographed the songs for the film. Bollywood music composer, Anand Raj Anand has created the music for this film, while the lyrics have been penned by Bohemia. The directors of the film have bought the rights of the song, Oye Oye (Tirchi Topiwaley) from the film Tridev and will be remade before it becomes a part of the film.

Double Dhamaal is directed by Indra Kumar who is also the producer of the film jointly with Ashok Thakeria. The film has been shot in Mehboob Studios in Mumbai, Hong Kong and Mauritius. The four actors Riteish Deshmukh, Arshad Warsi, Aashish Chaudhary and Jaaved Jaaferi will again be seen as friends as in the prequel, while Sanjay Dutt will play the role of a millionaire instead of a cop. The film has Arshad Warsi as a sikh named Ghanta Singh, while Jaaved Jaaferi will play his younger brother. Ritesh Deshmukh will be seen in a triple-role for the first time in his career. His three different roles are that of ‘Roy, a Chinese detective named ‘Lee’, and the third being a Mauritius gangster called Heera Bhai. Jaaved Jafferi’s role is yet to be disclosed. Also, Anil Kapoor and Aamir Khan are rumored to be appearing in special guest roles.

Bbuddah - Hoga Terra Baap, a preview

Bbuddah Hoga Terra Baap is an upcoming Bollywood film that has Bollywood megastar, Amitabh Bachchan in the lead role. In the film, Bachchan plays retired hitman settled in Paris, who comes back to India to do ‘one last job’. Amitabh plays a stylish old man with a very young and flamboyant attitude. The film is a fast paced action thriller which depicts him in an extremely stylized avatar. The film is a perfect mix of Bollywood action, romance and masala, which will see Amitabh Bachchan in action after years. The film is directed by South’s Puri Jagannadh.

Apart from Amitabh Bahchcan, the film stars the likes of Raveena Tandon, Hema Malini, Minissha Lamba, Sonal Chauhan, Neha Sharma, Sonu Sood, Charmy Kaur, Vishwajeet Pradhan, and Prakash Raj. The music for the film has been composed by Bollywood composers, Vishal-Shekhar. The film slated for release on 1st July and is produced by AB Crop, Bachchan’s own production house. Big B has also lent his voice for a medley in the film, which comprises of four popular songs from his own films!

Amitabh Bachchan has donned a super-cool look in this film and will be seen sporting scarves, jazzy shirts, designer denims, branded shades and even two watches! Wearing two watches was Big B’s own way of adding his bit to the style quotient of his character. Sr. Bachchan who is very fond of wearing watches turned up on the sets wearing two watches one day. It was then that Puri Jagannadh came up with the idea of Bachchan sporting two watches throughout the movie considering his flamboyant and stylish character.

Music review for upcoming Bollywood film Kuchh Luv Jaisa

Kuchh Luv Jaisa is Vipul Amrutlal Shah’s next production which has his wife Shefali Shah and Rahul Bose in the lead roles. The music for the film has been created by Bollywood composer, Prtiam Chakravarty while Tapas Relia has created the background music. The film has five tracks. ‘Naina’ sung by Mohit Chauhan is the first song to be released. Mohit Cauhan’s rendition gets to you, despite the simplicity of the tune. Thoda sa Pyaar that has been rendered to perfection by Sunidhi Chauhan and Anupam Amod, is yet another slow and beautiful number which has two more versions sung by newcomer Mannan Shah and Naresh Iyer. Mannan Shah has also lent his voice for another number, Baadlon pe Paaon. The last song of the film, Khwab Tha with two versions is another slow and touchy number sung by Nikhil D’Souza.

Kuchh Luv Jaisa is the story of a housewife, Madhu who has a loving husband and kids. However, Madhu’s husband forgets her birthday, which comes once in four years on 29th February. Shefali then decides to let down her hair, splurge, indulge and have a blast and celebrate her birthday all by herself instead of sulk and pity herself! As she sets out to try out new things, she has a chance encounter with a detective Rahul Bose, who actually turns out to be a wanted criminal by the cops! She takes a fancy for his work and requests him to let her join him for a day in his investigations. What follows is very interesting as two strangers are thrown together while tracing a case.

The film’s cast includes Sumeet Raghavan and Neetu Chandra in supporting roles along with the film’s lead pair, Shefali Shah and Rahul Bose. The film is written and directed by Barnali Shukla and produced by Vipul Amrutlal Shah. Kuch Luv Jaisa will be in theatres on 27th May, 2011. Shefali Shah who had to shed kilos for this role will be co-starring with Rahul Bose for the second time. The first time was for the film, 15 Park Avenue by Aparna Sen, in which they played a married couple.

Dum Maro Dum first look

Abhishek Bachchan and Rohan Sippy come together again in the forthcoming Bollywood thriller Dum Maro Dum after their mega successful project, BluffMaster. The movie is being produced by Ramesh Sippy. Dum Maro Dum is based in Goa and is about the lives of six Indians whose lives change as they get involved with the drug mafia in the area. The film has Abhishek Bachchan as ACP Vishnu Kamath, Aditya Pancholi as the drug lord Lorsa Biscuta, Bipasha Basu as Zoe, Rana Daggubati as DJ Joki and Prateik Babbar as Lorry. Crime, revenge, rage, sex - are all woven together to create this super thriller!

The movie has been shot in Goa and will be released on 22nd April 2011. Pritam Chakraborty has composed the music for the film. Bollywood actress Deepika Padukone will be seen gyrating to a sizzling item number which is a remix version of the seventies popular track Dum Maro Dum which was sung by Asha Bhonsle and composed by R. D. Burman for the Dev Anand super hit film Hare Krishna Hare Rama. The name of the film also reminds us of this popular track and the film as well which was also based on the drug and the hippie culture that had gripped that decade.
