The latest trailer to hit the waves, GAME is an action thriller full of suspense. It revolves around the lives of four main characters, a drug lord, a movie star, a journalist and a politician. Their lives get inter-twined after a murder takes place. The film stars Abhishek Bachchan as a drug baron similar to Al Pacino’s portrayal in Scar Face and Kangna Ranaut as the chief investigating officer. The film also has former Miss India, Sarah-Jane Dias in her maiden role as the glamorous Maya. Apart from these, the film stars, Shahana Goswami, Jimmy Shergill, Boman Irani, and Anupam Kher. Aishwarya Rai Bachchan was the first choice for the female lead, but things did not work out as the actress had date problems and could not manage them according to the film’s schedule.

The action thriller is directed by Abhinay Deo while Farhan Akhtar and Ritesh Sidhwani are the producers of the film. The film whose shooting begun early this year, was initially named Crooked, but was later changed to GAME. It has been extensively shot at foreign locations including Greece, Thailand, London, Istanbul apart from good old Mumbai. The film is being touted to be of the same genre as Jason Bourne Trilogy.

The Best of World Cinema at the 12th Mumbai Film Festival

In a star studded ceremony the 12th Mumbai Film Festival was opened by Manoj Kumar, Ramesh Sippy and Chairman of MAMI Shyam Benegal! Current Bollywood actors such as Minisha Lamba, Ranvir Shorey, Satish Kaushik and Prem Chopra also graced the occasion. Also present at the event was the talented film-maker Sudhir Mishra.
