Bollywood Superstar Shahrukh Khan to act in Krrish-2

Hrithik Roshan and Shahrukh Khan have been bonding very well for quite a while now, burying all their differences that arose during the making of Koi Mil Gaya and Krazzy 4. The two super heroes were last seen sharing screen space in Karan Johar’s Kabhie Khushi Kabhie Gham. Though no official announcement has been made, industry insiders have it that Shahrukh has consented to be a part of the Krrish 2 mega project, but only after the release of his mega Sci-fi project Ra.One. After the debacle of Kites and Guzaarish, Papa Roshan has decided to salvage his son’s sinking career with Krrish 2, considering his son’s mega hits as a super hero in Koi Mil Gaya and Krrish. And what better way could there be than have the Bollywood Badshah himself be a part of the project?

Krrish 2 will be a sequel to the 2006 Bollywood buster Krrish. Krrish 2 will have Hrithik Roshan as the super human with super powers who will combat an equally powerful enemy, a role with shades of gray which will be played by Shahrukh. Deepika Padukone will replace Priyanka Chopra as Hrithik’s love interest in Krrish 2, while Rekha and Riya Sen will be seen in supporting roles in the sequel.

Wedding of the Season as Madhavan woos Kangana in Tanu weds Manu

Tanu Weds Manu is a Hindi romantic comedy film with R.Madhavan, Kangana Ranaut and Jimmy Shergill in the lead roles. The film is directed by Aanand L. Rai and produced by Shailesh R. Singh. This story about two individuals as different as chalk and cheese has been scripted by Himanshu Sharma.

The film has R. Madhavan portray the character of Manoj Sharma aka Manu, a demure and obedient NRI doctor, who comes to India to get married to the girl his parents have chosen for him. While we have Kangana Ranaut as Tanuja Trivedi aka Tanu, the rebellious and outspoken small town girl, who has a very distinct mind of her own and would indulge in everything her parents disapprove. The film is all about the drama that unfolds when Manu and Tanu come face to face for an arranged marriage!

Kangana Ranaut will be seen an all-new vivacious and spirited avatar, quite different from her previous on-screen characters. The actress known to live the character she plays has done a brilliant job as the feisty, unruly and defiant Tanu! Kangana even dared riding a heavy bike in the crowded and narrow lanes of Kanpur, a city in Northern India. R. Madhavan also an established actor in his own right has done complete justice to his role. His myriad of expressions of bewilderment and affection for Tanu, with whom he falls in love at the very first sight come across very convincingly. The film very well brings out the nuances and histrionics of an Indian wedding. The film peppered with some excellent comedy and lively music is a complete package for entertainment!

The latest trailer to hit the waves, GAME is an action thriller full of suspense. It revolves around the lives of four main characters, a drug lord, a movie star, a journalist and a politician. Their lives get inter-twined after a murder takes place. The film stars Abhishek Bachchan as a drug baron similar to Al Pacino’s portrayal in Scar Face and Kangna Ranaut as the chief investigating officer. The film also has former Miss India, Sarah-Jane Dias in her maiden role as the glamorous Maya. Apart from these, the film stars, Shahana Goswami, Jimmy Shergill, Boman Irani, and Anupam Kher. Aishwarya Rai Bachchan was the first choice for the female lead, but things did not work out as the actress had date problems and could not manage them according to the film’s schedule.

The action thriller is directed by Abhinay Deo while Farhan Akhtar and Ritesh Sidhwani are the producers of the film. The film whose shooting begun early this year, was initially named Crooked, but was later changed to GAME. It has been extensively shot at foreign locations including Greece, Thailand, London, Istanbul apart from good old Mumbai. The film is being touted to be of the same genre as Jason Bourne Trilogy.

The trailer of the film bears the Farhan Akhtar trademark of power packed performances by Boman Irani and Anupam Kher and action. India’s First Gay Film: Dunno Y Trailer

It’s a movie which goes against all odds and all norms, not to mention the least of Bollywood’s tried and tested formula of lovers - a boy and a girl dancing around the tree or some exotic location. ‘Dunno Y’ breaks all the shackles of the traditional Indian society and is a movie based on homosexual love between two males! For the first time ever Bollywood will see an all male kiss on screen in Dunno Y. The movie will release in India on 22^nd October 2010.

Dunno Y is Sanjay Sharma's directorial debut and he says his first project is not a publicity stunt but a "serious film" about an issue which saw Bollywood make fun of gay characters with 2008 release Dostana. In a series of coming of age movies in Bollywood, Dunno Y will try to emulate what Meera Nair’s ‘Fire’ and the movie ‘Girlfriend’ did. But it takes a lot more than just a ‘hot’ topic to get the Indian audience filling seats in theatres. ‘Dunno Y’ will see the yesteryears beauty Zeenat Aman make a return to big screen with a much known accomplice, the cabaret dancing sensation – Helen! The much coveted male lead roles have been taken over by Kapil Sharma and Yuvraaj Parashar. The movie also stars Kabir Bedi, Rituparna Sengupta and Aryan Vaid.

The film has been directed by Sanjay Sharma, whose brother Kapil Sharma has doubled up as the lead actor in the movie along with writing the movie himself. So much for a writer’s confidence in his character, that he has enacted the lead character himself! The movie premiered in April 2010 at India's first mainstream gay film festival, the Kashish Mumbai International Queer Film Festival. The film had its North American premiere at the ‘I View Film Festival’ in New York and also will be screened at the ‘Sydney Film Festival’ and the ‘Indian Film Festival of London’ (IFFL).

The film's music is composed by Nikhil Kamat. The theme song "Pal mein rishte badal jaate hain" is performed by Lata Mangeshkar. The film also features Zeenat Aman performing the song "Aap Jaise Koi" from her film ‘Qurbani’ and the song "Chura Liya Hai Tumne" from Yaadon Ki Baraat. Director Sanjay Sharma insists Dunno Y depicts a "normal relationship" between two men and that he was not scared to explore the subject.
