NyooTV announces a documentary series on the story and music videos of popular band Euphoria

Mumbai, August 25, 2010: NyooTV; India’s first Online Social TV announces a documentary series on the journey of India’s most loved band Euphoria through their landmark music videos. The series will be called “Hind Rock n Roll” and will be produced by Mr. Gaurav Mendiratta, Founder and President of NyooTV. This is a unique initiative by NyooTV in association with Euphoria to create exclusive content and provide their followers with never before stories and experiences related to the videos of 14 classic Euphoria songs.

Fronted by doctor rocker Palash Sen, Euphoria has always had a special place in the hearts of Indian music lovers with hits like “Dhoom” “Maaeri” “Gully” and “Mehfuz”. They are known as the biggest and the most prolific band in the subcontinent, with 4 chartbuster albums, a “best of” compilation record, hit singles and live concerts across the globe. Euphoria is known for their earthy and fresh music videos, which were instrumental in launching the careers of famous Bollywood actresses like Neha Dhupia, Rimi Sen and Vidya Balan.

The documentary will be webcast on www.nyootv.com in a series of 14 bi- weekly episodes, approximately 10-15 minutes in duration. The first episode will be webcast on the 17th of September 2010. This date coincides with the release date of the first ever Euphoria promo, “Dhoom Pichuck Dhoom” which took the world by storm on the 17th of September 1998. Shot in Varanasi, this video introduced Euphoria and marked the coming of age of popular film maker Pradeep Sarkar, who has directed films like “Parineeta” and the latest blockbuster, “Lafangey Parindey”. The other directors included Dibakar Bannerjee of “Love Sex aur Dhokha” and “Khosla ka Ghosla Fame”, Amitabh Bhattacharya, Dhiraaj Bannerjee and award winning documentary film maker Vikram Mishra.

The episodes will be available for free viewing on www.nyootv.com and will be bundled with contests and exciting prizes like autographed CD’s, tickets to Euphoria concerts and a chance to meet Dr. Palash Sen and the band.

Endhiran is a forthcoming Tamil science fiction film with Southern Superstar Rajnikanth and Bollywood beauty Aishwarya Rai in the lead roles and directed by S. Shankar. Music maestro A. R. Rahman has given the background score for this film. The film is being produced by Kalinidhi Maran and is all set to be a record breaker of sorts. The film will have the record of having the highest budget ever in Indian cinema and will also be the largest worldwide release for an Indian film. The film was under filming for over two years and is in the post-production stage now. It has a generous dose of special effects which fans will love. Endhiran will be released with its dubbed versions, ‘Robot’ in Hindi and ‘Robo’ in Telugu. The film’s music was released in July, 2010 in a dazzling function in Malaysia.

Endhiran is Superstar Rajanikanth’s film that comes after a long gap. He has a double role where he plays the roles of a scientist and a robot. Aishwarya Rai Bachchan plays his love interest, while Bollywood actor Danny Denzongpa plays the villain in the film.

Rajanikanth plays a scientist who creates a Robot with artificial intelligence similar to that of a sixth sense in humans to help human beings and for the development of the country. But its silicon heart falls in love with Aishwarya Rai, writes romantic poems and the Robot behaves just like a human being. Knowing about the extra ordinary intelligence of the Robot, the villains try to get control of the Robot. Scientist Rajni fights to save the Robot falling into the hand of the enemies and destroys the evil forces using the Robot itself.

The film was earlier slated for a release on the 10^th of September, but Sun Pictures, the producers of this film have advanced the date to 3^rd September. One of the highlights of this film is that Rajinikanth would be seen without his famed moustache in most parts thereby making him look much younger. The last time director Shankar and actor Rajinikanth came together they created magic with Sivaji - The Boss. Hope that Endhiran - The Robot manages to live up to its hype and breaks all Box Office records when it releases later this year.

Akshay Kumar promotes Khatta Meetha

Akshay Kumar was recently seen promoting his upcoming comic caper, ‘Khatta Meetha’ in Mumbai. Akshay Kumar, who plays a construction engineer in the film, was spotted looking at potholes and climbing road rollers on the roads of Mumbai. After a series of not-so-successful films, the actor is riding high with the moderate success of his film ‘Housefull’. The film is based on June 2009 murder of Bihar PWD engineer Yogendra Pandey who was killed by Bihar’s road mafia.

Akshay Kumar is well known in the industry for his Marathi speaking skills. This time he is putting it to good use as he plays a Marathi Manus, Sachin Tichkule in the film. Following the foot-steps of Sanjay Dutt and Hrithik Roshan, Akshay Kumar will also debut as a singer in this film. He will be seen singing a song in Marathi, ‘Nana chi Taang’ which will be rephrased as ‘Teri Aisi Ki Taisi’ in Hindi. Ace music composer, Pritam is all set to create magic all over again with his lilting tunes. The song ‘Nana chi Taang’ a combination of rock and Maharashtrian music is bound to strike a chord with the masses and go on to top the charts!

KBC 4 Official Announcement

After much speculation, KBC season four was finally announced on 7^th July, 2010. The game show is expected to go on air in the last quarter of the year. Big B has been roped in to host the show for the third time, after he hosted the show in the first two seasons. Despite a huge fan base, the show received a lukewarm response in its third season when it was hosted by Shahrukh Khan.

KBC 4, this time comes with a few changes. This time the show comes with a new broadcaster. It will be telecast by Sony Entertainment Television, while earlier it was aired on Star Plus. Besides, the format of the show has also been changed to add some zing. The show will be much faster with the number of questions being reduced to twelve from fifteen. There will also be a timer for the first 7 to 30 seconds to answer or the clock stops you. There are some innovative options for phoning a friend for help. There will be three experts from various fields on call and you can talk to them as options for an answer. They will appear on TV live as opposed to a voice. Amitabh Bachchan is also being touted to appear in a fashion different from his signature style. So with all these changes falling into place, KBC 4 is sure to set the TRPs soaring!
