Curtains raised for Fear Factor Khatron Ke Khiladi – Torchaar

The stage is all set for Fear Factor Khatron Ke Khiladi – Torchaar. The participants of the reality show were recently unveiled. The show will have thirteen male and thirteen female participants. These thirteen pairs will have to experience fear as they are made to indulge in nail biting dangerous stunts. Fear Factor Khatron Ke Khiladi – Torchaar, will be hosted by Khiladi Akshya Kumar, putting to rest the rumours that had Salman Khan as the host.

The thirteen couples include the Ahran Chaudhary and Diandra Soares, Sangram Singh and VJ Mia Uyeda, Dhiraj Amonkar and Mauli Dave, Sumit Suri and Kashmera Shah, Khalid Chowdhury and Sambhavna Seth, Parmod Dahiya with Dina Singh, Amit Mehra with VJ Bani, Shashwat Seth with Aliesia Raut, Sunit Bhatia with Aashka Goradia, Saurabh Roy with Smita Bansal, Praveen Jain with Poonam Pandey, Sandeep Sachdev and Anjum Chopra and Dhaval Thakur with Aarti Chhabria.

Divulging details about the new season of Khatron Ke Khiladi, Ashvini Yardi, Head of Programming, COLORS says, “This season of Khatron Ke Khiladi is going to be way more torturous and dangerous than all the earlier ones…hence the very fitting name Torchaar. We’re looking at thirteen jodis this season who will be participating in the show and undertaking some of the most physically and mentally challenging tasks ever set on the show. What’s going to be of utmost importance this season; along with being able to perform under extreme pressure and dangerous conditions; is the ability of the participants to work together as a team. These 13 pairs can expect to face their worst nightmares as they set foot in the beautiful locales of South Africa. And the participants are going to have to not just build a rapport with their partners, but will have to have enough blind faith and trust in them as well while performing the stunts on the show. Here’s wishing them all the luck and hoping to see some brilliant action on the show.”

The stunts this time will be deadlier and ruthless as they are set in the wilderness of Cape Town in South Africa. Akshya Khiladi Kumar will be putting the contestants through emotional and physical endurance tests as he mentors and inspires them. The last participant to remain on board will be anointed as the ultimate ‘Khiladi’. He or she will earn the title of a ‘Thunder Star’ and will win an opportunity to feature with Akshya Kumar in the next Thums Up advertising campaign.

Bollywood Baadshah Shah Rukh Khan to host TV Show Zor Ka Jhatka

Shah Rukh Khan will be back in your living rooms with a new television series Zor Ka Jhatka on NDTV Imagine. The show will feature 28 big names from the television industry as contestants. The prize money for the winner is an overwhelming Rs. 1.5 crores which includes a cash prize of fifty lakhs. The show will be shot in the rugged terrains of Argentina starting early 2011.

Known for his impeccable sense of humor, comic timing, sharp wit and clever dialogues, Shah Rukh will be lending his magic touch to the show as the contestants battle out the difficult games laid out for them, like trying to maintain their balance while jumping across huge balls in the water, bouncing off big balls and dodging swinging pendulums thrown their way. As the contestants struggle enthusiastically with the tricky challenges, Shah Rukh will be adding spice and fun to the show with his hilarious commentary taking the fun and excitement to a new level!
