It’s Scary And Has Got Sharp Teeth As ‘Piranha 3D’ Grabs A Lot Of Bollywood Star Attention

A loose remake of the 1978 Joe Dante vehicle, Piranha 3D, the movie owes to Jaws as much as it does to its forebear. In fact, the director Alexandre Aja refers to Spielberg’s classic so many times that we expect a cameo from the shark! The movie premiered in India on October 29^th 2010 and various Bollywood stars were present for the premiere show, the likes of which included Neetu Chandra, Murali Sharma, Ayaz Khan, Ashwini Kalsekar and Shweta Pandit.

The horror movie is one of the first of its genre to release in 3D. The Hollywood movie has been directed by Alexandre Aja and featuring an ensemble cast including Steven R. McQueen, Jessica Szohr, Adam Scott, Elisabeth Shue, Kelly Brook, Riley Steele, Richard Dreyfuss, Jerry O'Connell, Christopher Lloyd, Ving Rhames, Dina Meyer, Cody Longo, Ricardo Antonio Chavira, Paul Scheer, Ashlynn Brooke, Gianna Michaels and Eli Roth. The script has been written by Josh Stolberg and Pete Goldfinger, the writers of Sorority Row.

The ‘Garam Masala’ babe Neetu Chandra who wore a faded pink laced collar dress to the premiere said, “We’ve seen 3D kids’ films. But this is a horror 3D! I am very scared of horror movies, but they excite me none the less!” Meanwhile, Golmaal 3 policeman Murali Sharma said, “It’s my first 3D film ever! I’ve never seen a 3D film ever in my life. As a kid I missed Chota Chetan and I am really excited and looking forward to watch this movie.”

The beautiful lady in blue and white stripes, Shweta Pandit said, “I am really excited to watch the movie. It’s a cool horror flick! Piranhas is in 3D right now! It’s a different experience to see it in 3D for sure. Cinematically it’s going to be an amazing viewing experience for the audiences!” Another Golmaal 3 actress, Ashwini Kalsekar adds, “The very theme of Piranhas in 3D and fishes eating human scares me a lot! So I am sure I’m going to get scared a hell lot! The whole effect of Piranhas coming out of the screen and hitting you in the face scares you!”

Trailer of New Bollywood Film – Raavan

Ace film-maker, Mani Ratnam is back yet again with his new film ‘Raavan’. Slated for a release on 18^th June, the new Bollywood movie Raavan is a multilingual film which was shot simultaneously in Hindi, Tamil and Telugu. The Tamil version is called ‘Raavanan’ while the film is titled ‘Villain’ in Telugu. The Hindi version, ‘Raavan’ boasts of a mega starcast, featuring Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Abhishek Bachchan and superstar of the south, Vikram. The film, inspired by the legendary epic Ramayan, is mythology in a new mould. It revolves around one of the central characters of the epic, Ravana.

Latest Bollywood Movie Raavan

The story is about Dev Pratap Sharma (Vikram), a cop who falls in love with a beautiful dancer, Ragini (Aishwarya Rai Bachchan). They get married and move to a new place of posting, Lal Maati, a small town in North India, where the word of law is not the police but a young tribal, Beera (Abhishek Bachchan). Beera is out to seek vengeance for the humiliation caused to his sister by Dev. And Dev wants to hunt down Beera to bring back law and order to Lal Maati. So that has both Dev and Beera on their own battling tracks.

Beera goes to Dev’s house to kidnap him, but kidnaps his wife Ragini instead and takes her to the jungles. What transpires afterwards is sufficient to drag the trio into the deep and scary jungles which become a battleground.

New Hindi Film Raavan

The film explores the complex man-woman relationship as Beera and Ragini fall in love while Ragini is held captive. The film is set for an unexpected twist hereon as truth surfaces with a reversal of roles of the good and the evil! The film has Suhasini, Mani Ratnam’s wife making her debut on the silver screen while Govinda plays Dev’s aide, a character inspired by Hanuman. Bhojpuri star and TV actor Ravi Kissen plays Abhishek’s helping hand while newcomer Nikhil Dwivedi is a cop.
