Childlike Enthusiasm for Amitabh in Firoz Nadiadwalas Power Movie

In what may eventually turn out to be the costliest Indian film ever, veteran producer Feroz Nadiadwala will leave no stone unturned for his next mega-banner production POWER. The movie which is supposed to be a sequel to the hit ‘Khakee’ will see the likes of Bollywood biggies Amitabh Bachchan, Anil Kapoor, Ajay Devgn and Sanjay Dutt rub shoulders with each other. The movie will also feature Ameesha Patel and Lekha Washington as the female leads. The actors were present with Feroz at the ‘muhurat’ event for the movie held on 22^nd

September 2010 at JW Mariott Hotel, Mumbai.

The ‘muhurat’ event brings back the tradition of launching a movie with huge pomp and fanfare. Minister of State Information Technology and Communications Gurudas Kamat gave the clap for the first scene of the movie. Rajkumar Santoshi will be directing the movie, while ace filmmaker Prakash Jha has taken over the camera. The story revolves around a clash between power of anger, lies and truth. The shooting for the movie starts from 4^th October 2010.

Amitabh Bachchan will be doing all his stunts in the movie himself. He is quite pumped-up about getting back in shape for the action movie. His last action movie ‘Khakee’ with Ajay Devgan had performed very well at the Box-office. The veteran actor in fact surprised Feroz with his enthusiasm. The producer was all praises for his central character, and said, “Amitji is like a debutant, talking about going on the treadmill and getting into shape.” Nadiadwala has worked for over 6 months on the script of the movie, and detailed sketching of the characters has been done to ensure that justice is done to everyone. Action directors from Hollywood movies like Casino Royale, the Bourne Identity, the Spiderman series and Swordfish have been roped in for this movie.

Jhootha John Abraham takes the Lie Detector Test at Jhootha Hi Sahi promotional event

The Jhootha Hi Sahi team, composing John Abraham, Pakhi, and Rahguram, was present at the launch of a ‘Lie Detector’ machine at a promotional event for the movie in Chennai. The ‘Dostana’ star and the hunk of Bollywood was looking at his muscular best in a tight short black T-shirt. The movie, whose music has been scored by A R Rahman, will be releasing in theatres all across India on 15th October.

The lead pair of the movie released the lie detector machine in the presence of the notorious Raghuram on the stage. The ‘Roadies’ guru asked various tricky questions to the cast of the movie and it turned out that the biggest liar of them was the ‘hero’ John Abraham. However, the sexy actor was quick to defend himself saying that everyone has to lie at some point in their life. They are just ‘White Lies’ and won’t hurt anyone.

The funniest part was when Raghuram asked John whether he thinks whether the bald Raghu is sexy or not? Surprise! Surprise! The machine beeped loudly and gave John such a big shock that he jumped from his seat. John had answered ‘NO!’ and the machine caught his lie! John could have ended up breaking the machine, but then the actor brushed it off as a fun gesture and carried on with his interview.

Talking about his co-star Pakhi, John said that he enjoyed working with her and there couldn’t have been a better person for the role played by Pakhi. Also, her innocence and beauty in the movie is commendable. John adds a twist to the tale by saying that he had to learn ‘how to lie’ from his director Abbas Tyrewala. All in all, the event was hugely enjoyed by everyone present there.
