The victory of goodness over greed, Dus Tola is a reflection of our society and is light-hearted and narrative. The movie will see Aarti Chhabria in a never before seen look of a traditional village girl, which is strikingly different from her otherwise glamorous look.

Dus Tola is a story of a typical Indian father who wants to marry his daughter in a wealthy family and improve his social status in the bargain. Like a typical Indian Bollywood movie, the girl is madly in love with a boy from a lower income stratum of society. The boy, resolute as ever, will go to all ends to make his life’s only dream (the girl) turn into reality. The movie will also star Govind Namdeo, Asrani, and Bharti Achrekar. Little known Pallavi Sharma makes her debut in the movie and will be seen playing the role of ‘Geeta’.

The movie is the directorial debut of Ajoy and has been produced by Kunwar Pragy Arya, Sanjay Bhattacharjee and Sushma Reddy. Renowned lyricist ‘Gulzar’ has written the lyrics for this movie, while singers Sukhwinder Singh, Sonu Nigam, Sunidhi Chauhan, Mohit Chauhan have given their vocals for the songs in the movie. Following in the steps of Shahrukh Khan’s hit ‘Swades’ which was shot in the village of Wai, the director of the film has chosen to shoot the movie in the small town of Sonapur. “To make a village story authentic, you cannot create it in a studio. Our entire film is based in the village. So we chose to shoot at actual location in Wai and Mahabaleshwar. Certain sequences were done at Gorai too...We really had to be very creative with our lighting and camera to get proper shots,” says the debutant director.

SanSanjay Leela Bhansali’s upcoming Bollywood flick ‘Guzaarish’ is set to release on October 19. The movie is star studded with the presence of Hrithik Roshan and Aishwarya Rai. The movie is based on the life of a physically challenged magician and his relationship with his nurse.

Sanju Baba packs a punch at the Knock Out Press Conference

Actors Sanjay Dutt, Irrfan Khan and Kangna Ranaut seem to be in top form as they speak about their roles and their upcoming film 'Knock Out'. The dashing three were present at the press conference with director Mani Shankar and Apoorva Lakhia. The movie promises to be an action thriller and is slated to be released on 15th October 2010.

Jhootha John Abraham takes the Lie Detector Test at Jhootha Hi Sahi promotional event

The Jhootha Hi Sahi team, composing John Abraham, Pakhi, and Rahguram, was present at the launch of a ‘Lie Detector’ machine at a promotional event for the movie in Chennai. The ‘Dostana’ star and the hunk of Bollywood was looking at his muscular best in a tight short black T-shirt. The movie, whose music has been scored by A R Rahman, will be releasing in theatres all across India on 15th October.

The lead pair of the movie released the lie detector machine in the presence of the notorious Raghuram on the stage. The ‘Roadies’ guru asked various tricky questions to the cast of the movie and it turned out that the biggest liar of them was the ‘hero’ John Abraham. However, the sexy actor was quick to defend himself saying that everyone has to lie at some point in their life. They are just ‘White Lies’ and won’t hurt anyone.

The funniest part was when Raghuram asked John whether he thinks whether the bald Raghu is sexy or not? Surprise! Surprise! The machine beeped loudly and gave John such a big shock that he jumped from his seat. John had answered ‘NO!’ and the machine caught his lie! John could have ended up breaking the machine, but then the actor brushed it off as a fun gesture and carried on with his interview.

Talking about his co-star Pakhi, John said that he enjoyed working with her and there couldn’t have been a better person for the role played by Pakhi. Also, her innocence and beauty in the movie is commendable. John adds a twist to the tale by saying that he had to learn ‘how to lie’ from his director Abbas Tyrewala. All in all, the event was hugely enjoyed by everyone present there.

Aakrosh - a Priyadarshan movie hits back at Honour Killings in Bihar

Get ready for an action thriller of the kind you have never seen before! Priyadarshan’s multi-starrer ‘Aakrosh’ is an adaptation from an article about Honour Killings that featured in Times of India in 1995.
